Peace Negotiation Simulation Exercises collection

This collection of Negotiation Simulation Exercises is maintained by Public International Law & Policy Group (PILPG). It provides free access (for teaching purposes) to a growing collection of peace simulation exercises which are based on the methodology used by the U.S. Department of State’s National Foreign Affairs Training Center to train American diplomats. They are used to enact and test out diplomatic solutions to world conflicts. These have included: Iraq, Sudan (Darfur), Kosovo and the Balkans conflict, Sri Lanka, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Nepal and Kashmir. Each simulation contains briefing notes, role plays and reports. The site also includes a Peace Agreement Drafter’s Handbook and a collection of sample documents from peace negotiations and post-conflict constitutions.
