From Warriors to Resisters: U.S. Veterans on Terrorism

From Warriors to Resisters is a 95-page book, available as a PDF (10.3 Mb), that examines military recruitment practices and the activities of the U.S. Army School of the Americas (SOA) and presents 15 first-person narratives telling difficult, lonely stories about the process of realizing just how deeply flawed U.S. policy can be. Some of the featured U.S. veterans came to this realization after having completed their service. Others—five Iraq War vets—had their awakenings while still in the service; they refused further participation at a price. From Warriors to Resisters: U.S. Veterans on Terrorism was edited by Margaret Knapke from Dayton Pledge of Resistance and is in its second edition (July 2005).
