Young Mediators Network - UK

image The Young Mediators Network is an exciting project for young people in the United Kingdom. As their mission statement explains, “The Young Mediators’ Network is a national youth-led project that provides support to young people trained in mediation or conflict resolution . . .” image At their website you can learn more about projects happening all across the UK and can find information on becoming part of the leadership team. The network is led by a group of young volunteers from all over the country, and Leap Confronting Conflict ? the organisation that set up the network - employs a coordinator to support the work of the Steering Group. The network, set up in 2000 and “webified” in 2004, just recently received new funding from the Big Lottery Fund, so their future looks good for now. For a closer look, check out the Young Mediators Network as featured in Young People Now Magazine.
