ABA Dispute Resolution Section promoting Mediation Week (third week of October)

Building on the success of Conflict Resolution Day (started in 2005 by the Association for Conflict Resolution - held on the third Thursday of October each year...), the American Bar Association Section of Dispute Resolution is promoting Mediation Week October 16-22, 2011. A Mediation Week Toolkit is available to provide ideas and materials for an event in your area.

In an effort to facilitate the initiation of ABA Mediation Week programs by law schools, ADR organizations, Courts and state and local bar associations, the Section of Dispute Resolution has limited funds available this year to provide financial assistance to organizations sponsoring ABA Mediation Week activities on a first-come, first-served, as-needed grant basis for those organizations meeting the criteria for assistance. The registration form available here also includes the application for assistance. They ask that you to complete the registration form by no later than September 9, 2011.
