New Version of the Kraybill Conflict Style Inventory available for review

Ron Kraybill has released a new revised version of his Conflict Style Inventory. Review copies and a free trainer’s guide (link to pdf) are available for download.

While similar in concept to the more well-known Thomas Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument, there are a number of significant differences as well. For instance, the Kraybill version has “calm” and “storm” questions to differentiate times when stress or conflict is high (storm) versus more regular interactions (calm).

Here’s a link to a comparison of the two instruments.

Upgrades to the Kraybill Conflict Style Inventory 2008 (also known as Style Matters 2008) include:
- Simpler  and quicker to take and interpret.
- User-friendly instructions and study guide for after-workshop reading or solo users.
- Colorful new format.  Full-color on all 24 pages, it reproduces well in color or black and white.
- Revised discussion questions for groups.
- Updated and expanded Trainers? Guide
- Cultural adaptability still available but unobtrusive when not needed.
