ABA Directory of Law School ADR Programs now online

The ABA Section of Dispute Resolution has, for many years, maintained a list of law school offerings related to dispute resolution. Law schools’ increased attention to dispute resolution training reflects the expanding significance of ADR in the lives of practicing attorneys. While previous editions of the ADR Law School Directory were printed in hard copy, the ABA Section on Dispute Resolution determined that an electronic medium would be more accessible, more cost effective, and more easily updated.

The current online version of the Directory is a collaborative effort between the University of Oregon School of Law and the ABA Section on Dispute Resolution. The ADR Program at UO undertook a comprehensive survey of law schools during the summer of 2002. The University of Oregon survey was then combined with follow-up data collected by the ABA Section on Dispute Resolution.

The 2003 American Bar Association Directory of Law School Dispute Resolution Courses and Programs lists 887 courses and programs at the 184 ABA approved law schools.
