over crowding of on-campus housing

I am currently preparing a paper regarding the problem of over crowding in on-campus housing at the university that I attend. At this time, there are situations where three students are living in dorms designed for two. This is referred to as "tripling", and many students find it very difficult to live in this environment. We are attempting to find some possible solutions to this problem. Does anyone have suggestions, or could you let me know how your school handles this problem? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

hi there - i have recently become interested in population issues - Seems to me the problem is often: personal preferance and resources.
Arethere enuf resources? beds, bath access, desk space? do the three of you get along? do you like being with people...this closely? do you get along with these folks enuf to be so close??? are you all able to respect each others space?

Seems to me that if you are able to work with these issues out, which may be a lot for college kids, you have a chance, but I think it's too much -
Good luck, hope my questions help your own growth in the situation....probabaly not -
