It was written to show how real people can achieve dramatically different outcomes depending on the strategies they devise and the methods they employ. Since September 11th parties involved in campus activism are experiencing some new kinds of aggravation and alienation emerging in relation to the conflict between Israel and Palestine. The Tikkun Campus Network (TCN) was created in response to this charged environment to help increase positive social change and spiritual growth across campus. The TCN's focus is to help foster the "spiritual understanding of the interrelatedness of all humans." The TCN advocates a "middle path" -- on the one hand, insisting on an end to the Occupation of the West Bank and Gaza and on reparations for the Palestinian refugees, on the other hand insisting on an end to terror and advocating real security for Israel.
Stressing that each side of the conflict must recognize the humanity of the situation, and recognizing that this may be difficult, the TCN provides tools for student facilitators.
