Short-courses and Workshops
Introduction
to Conflict Resolution Online is a demonstration version of
a nice online set of course materials on conflict studies developed
by the University of Bradford's Department of Peace Studies.
The Conflict Research Consortium at the University of Colorado,
in collaboration with the U.S. Institute for Peace has developed
and International
Online Training Program on Intractable Conflict
Conflict Management and Constructive Confrontation.
Also available from the University of Colorado is an online course
on Conflict
Management in Social Systems.
Transforming Civil
Conflict is an online course from the European Network University
(an initiative of the University of Amsterdam). It is an intensive
four-week online course in international conflict resolution,
focusing on the roles and responsibilities of the international
humanitarian community in conflict areas. The course is
offered at regular intervals throughout the year.
The Inter-American Defense College, in association with the Institute
of World Affairs, offers a ten-part introductory on-line
course on conflict management and negotiation.
Degree Granting Programs
Nova Southeastern University provides a number of distance degrees
(MA and Ph.D.) in their Department
of Conflict Analysis and Resolution. They have recently added
a specialization in College
Student Personnel to their Conflict Studies program offerings.
The McGregor School at Antioch University offers a Master
of Arts in Conflict Resolution. Students study from their
own community and travel to Yellow Springs, Ohio, for 2 two-week
residencies during the two year graduate program.
Columbia College in South Carolina offers a distance Master
of Arts in Human Behavior and Conflict Management.
Brenau University Online College now offers a Certificate in

California State University, Dominguez Hills is offers a Behavioral
Science Master's Degree program in Negotiation and Conflict Management
which can be completed in two years.
The Center for Legal Studies, a program that has specialized
in paralegal training and bar exam preparation courses now offers

Program in Alternative Dispute Resolution (Mediation).
The Charles Sturt University in New South Wales, Australia offers
a Graduate
Certificate in Dispute Resolution and one in Police
Negotiation.
