You were in the Student Union Pool Hall with some friends when you noticed Cam (opposite gender from you) come in with Andi (same gender as you). You had met Cam a few days earlier and felt good about your contact. You wanted to get to know Cam better. After talking to Cam for awhile in the Pool Hall, Andi came over and started ordering you around. You were concerned that Andi might start a fight, so you friends came over to support you. Andi shoved you, you shoved Andi back and then a fight followed. The Pool Hall manager came over to stop the fight before anyone got hurt, but the pool table was damaged in the scuffle and will cost $125 to repair. The next day, the game room manager called to strongly recommend that you mediate with Andi to resolve the conflict and cover the damages to the pool table, in order to avoid any disciplinary action or criminal charges. You agreed, because you didn’t want any bad marks on your good college record, and you certainly didn’t want to get dragged into court.
