Counseling
Cut-Off

(staff)
You
tried to help Quinn, a student, but were unable to give
him/her all the was requested. Quinn is difficult to
work with and never seems satisfied. Quinn has overcome
a difficult childhood and has recently had family and
health problems, in addition to serious money worries
and disruptive behavioral problems. Quinn has used up
financial aid for this academic year. Quinn continues
to use campus emergency counseling services, even though
you have asked Quinn to schedule a weekly counseling
session (rather than two to three per week that Quinn
wants) or seek community mental health services. For
extended care, you always refer students to community
counselors. Quinn complained to a key administrator,
who suggested mediation.
