The
University
of California Santa Barbara Ombuds Office has
installed a new ombuds-related online bibliography.
The bibliography is called the Stanley
V. Anderson Library, named after an early scholar
of ombudsing.
The Stanley V. Anderson Library contains a database
that can be searched by author, title or keyword.
Also included on the site are three papers about
ombudsing. The first paper, Comparing Classical
and Executive Ombudsmen, highlights the basic
differences between two types of Ombudsmen. The
second paper, Ombuds Scholars, provides the
history of Ombudsmen and Ombudsing. The final paper,
Ombudsmen Papers: American Experience and Proposals,
again tracks the history of Ombudsing.
The Stanley V. Anderson Library is a useful tool
the current Ombuds, or individuals seeking to gain
more information about the profession.
